However, some of the piezometers observed at the mine site require <br />some maintenance. Those piezometers which have perforations or slots at or <br />above the land surface, and those piezometers which have been vandalized <br />should be repaired or replaced. The piezometers can be repaired by digging <br />1 to 2 feet below the land surface, cutting off the casing, gluing on a solid <br />piece of casing extending above the land surface, and cementing off around the <br />casing to the land surface. <br />/ep <br />cc: Brian Munson <br />Doc.
