It is estimated that Pikeview Quarry contains approximately 58 million tons
of limestone. It would take approximately 42 years to mine and sell limestone
extracted from a quarry of this magnitude.
The present day requirement for limestone exceeds 250,000 tons per year.
Future requirements for limestone in the year of 2000 is anticipated to exceed
two million tons per year.
The following data and attached Mining Timetables were prepared based upon the
estimated limestone contained in each tract:
Tract "A" (81 Acres):
Contains 34 to 36 million tons of limestone. This area is constantly
being disturbed because of the interior mining roads and plant. This
disturbance will probably continue during the entire life of the mine.
The estimated mining extraction period is 25 years.
Tract "A-1" (3 Acres):
Contains one-half million tons of limestone. Mining to begin in
1980 and last for 2 years.
Tract "A-1" (11 Acres):
To be future office, plant, and storage area. This condition to begin
in 1981, and to continue through the entire period of the mining operation.
Tract "B" (25 Acres):
Contains 9 to 11 million tons of limestone. This will require a mining
extraction period of 17 years beginning in 1983.
Tract "C" (14 Acres):
Contains 5 to 7 million tons of limestone. Area is now being mined.
This mining operation is expected to continue for approximately 9 years.
~TTc N 3
SNe~T 2
