However, the mining and reclamation of each of the three areas mined will be done as the area is mined out This cost estimate is based on the largest area to be open atone time which is Area 1 (approx. 33 acres). All aabulations for backfilling, grading, and repladng topsoil will be based on the maximum of 33 acres. This estimate is father modified by the fad that Sandy Creek runs through each of the 3 areas. In Area 1, Sandy Creek oocuplies at least 12.7 aces. Those 12.7 acres will not be reseeded and they will only be graded abng the creek edge. In the remaining 20.3 sags Ure area of exa3vation will be graded and sbped as it is mined. Topsoil will be reapplied to the exatvatbn. This area will be fertilized with fertilizer or barnyard manure as indicated by soils tests and then seeded with a cover crop.
