Responses are shown after each point and are shown in bold. <br />6.4.4 EXHIBIT D -Mining Plan <br />1. Applicant has specified that the operation will not create an adverse impact to surface <br />and/or groundwater systems. The Mine Plan and Reclamation Plan Maps show the <br />location of Sandy Crcek as being within the center of area(s) to be excavated. In <br />conformance with Rules 6.4.4, 6.4.5, and 3.1.6, please specify the process of how the <br />operator will mine through a meandering stream channel and be able to maintain the <br />function and form of the stream channel in Areas 1-3 throughout the mining and <br />reclamation phases of the operation, i.e. how will the location and dimensions of the <br />channel and banks remain intacK. At a minimum, the Applicant will need to provide the <br />following information: <br />• A representative cross section of the stream channel for each area to be mined <br />which depicts the bank heights and slopes as well as width and configuration of <br />the channel bed. <br />Cross-sections for each of the three areas are encMsed. The cross-sections show that <br />proposed final contours will atiD maintaur flow area for Sandy Creek. <br />A discussion of how the boundaries of the channel (from right top bank through <br />left top bank) will be idernified prior to m,'n+ ~ and reestablished during <br />reclamation. <br />The intermittent creek areas will be mined separately from the rest of the land in <br />each Area It is anticipated that the actual creekhed wr71 have 5'~' of material <br />removed. The areas hying outside the creekbed could have ap to 15' of removal, bat <br />
