• • ~
EXHIBIT B
Mining Plan:
This is a pit located on hillside located ad jac~nt to
Little horse Creek in southern Lincoln County.
The supply of gravel appears to be excellent, a-~d at the
present rate of use could be expected to last fo:h 30 years
or more. This gravel is good for road maintenanQe and
is used by the count;• to maintain unpaved county roads.
The method of mining is to load county trucks with a
front end loader and haul to the work site. Doziing and
stockpiling is not necessary here.
The disturbed area measures about 1.1 Acres. Th9 area
we wish permitted (outlined in red) measures3.2 Alcres.
These measurements made by the ASC from photographic maps.
There is very little topsoil here and none has ben saved
in the past. However we will make every effort o save
any that is available when a new part of the pit is
opened up. This will be stored in the extreme sduth-east
part of the pit.
Parking and loading and storage will be on that part of
the pit which has already been mined.
No haul road will need to be built. 1~~e can use tlhe trail
road made and used by the rancher in caring for hlis cattle.
The direction of mining will be from south to north.
No surface or sub-surface water rights will be aflfected
by this operation.
Not more than 70,'000 tons cf material will be mined in any
one year.
This pit will not be used over 180 days in any and year.
The depth of the gravel strata appears to be about eight
feet. As tc~ere is very little top-soil the depth Hof the
mine will not be over eight feet.
