The Following should serve to answer the questions of your letter dated March 6, 1981
regarding the West Sunday Mine permit application, File #81-21.
1. Premining and mining plan map:
A revised prernining and mining plan map (Exhibit C-Plate A)
and an additirmal 200' scale map (Exhibit C-Plate B) are
enclosed and ~>how the complete access road and vegetative
covering.
2. Reclamation Plan Map:
A revised map indicating the anticipated changes in contour
interval is enclosed.
3 Water Resources:
Although it i<.: anticipated that some water may be encountered
in the mining or development phases of this project it is not
possible at this time to determine the location or quantities
until such encounters occur, if any. If significant quantities
of water are encountered such that a beneficial underground use
may be derived and/or pumping and surface storage is required,
the necessary permits will be obtained at that time.
4. Reclamation Costs:
A re-evaluation of reclamation costs indicate the original
reclamation estimate (Exhibit L) to have been over stated by
a significant amount. It is requested that the estimated
reclamation costs be revised as follows:
Clean-up - Removal of buildings, equipment, debris,
etc. Buildings to be sold for salvage, with removal
by bidders, significantly reducing costs. $6,000.00
Earthmoving - Recontouring, retopsoiling, scarifying
seed bed preparations etc. $11,400.00
Re-vegetation - Seeding, 20 ac. at $400.00/ac.$8,000.00
$25,400.00
