SFNI' BY: B- 4-93 ;12:43PM ; CANONIE ITIGL~1900P+
x • •
4
4.0 COMPARE ANALYTICAL DATA TO INS7REAM STANDARIDS
Table 4 presents the number of water quality exceedances upstream of the mill site
at Wlliams Fork River above the portal (HW-1i and downstream of the mill site at
Williams Fork River below Ute Creek (HW-4). Measured concentrations were
compared to Colorado instream standards for 30-day average discharge without a
documented 10-year, 24hour event. For cadrnium and manganese the number of
exceedances downstream was the same or fewer than the number of exceedances
upstream. For copper, Iron, and lead there ware more exceedances downstream than
upstream. For zinc there were no axcoedancea. The exceedances for copper may
result, In part, from the analytical detection level being higher than the instream
standard. The exceedances may indicate analytical error or levels of copper abcrve the
standard.
;# 9/19
IM{W:4J~ISWBIOIrllJp7 IAW. {, IYHI
