No permit limitation exceedences occurred during this quarter.
Outfall 022 and 024 both fell short of meeting some of the 'frequency of analysis' requirements for lab parameters. For Outfall
022, Iron-TR and Zinc-TR were not requested for the April sample and Iron-TR was not requested for the June. For Outfall
024, Zinc-TR was not requested for the June sample. The reported statistics demonstrate that these sites were sampled per
the permit requirements, but the correct lab parameters were not tested. Anew sampling Frequency and analysis checklist has
been distributed, and all personnel involved have been trained regarding its proper use. Field books and lab submittal forms
will be checked weekly for adequacy, and the status will be reported to the Environmental Manager. These measures will
ensure that the frequency requirements imposed by this discharge permit are met.
Chronic Whole ENluent Toxicity (WET) testing was pedormed at Outfalls 022 and 024 and indicated no toxicity to P. Promelas
or C. Dubia. The "Concentration with Statistically Significant Difference in Lethality" was >100% for both species at each
Outfall. Copies of the CDPS W ET Test Report Forms for both species are included in the submittal.
The WET tests conducted this quaver required extra visits to these sites, thus producing additional field parameter values
which were calculated into the statistics reported on the DMRs.
Outfalls 003, 004, 007, 009, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 017, 018, 019, 020, 021 and 023 along with Site 3001 did not
discharge, and therefore have no chemical or toxicological tests during this period. In order to reduce the amount of paper
work, the following certification will be substituted for the actual DMR forms to cover the outfalls which did not discharge.
CERTIFICATION
I certify under penalty o/law that I have personally examined and am /amiliar with the information submitted herein; and
based on my inquiry of those individuals responsible /or obtaining the information, I believe the submitted in/ormation is
true, accurate, and complete. I am aware that there are significant penalties !or submitting false in/ormation, including the
possibility o/ /fine and imprisonment. See 18 U.S.C. § 1001 and 33 U.S.C. § 1319.
