Removal and Plantin¢ of Vegetation and Other Resources. {DS) <br />The holder shall obtain prior written approval from the authorized officer before removing or <br />altering vegetation or other resources. The holder shall obtain prior written approval from the <br />authorized officer before planting trees, shrubs, or other vegetation within the authorized area. <br />5. Revegetation of Ground Cover and Surface Restoration (D9) <br />The holder shall be responsible for prevention and control of soil erosion and gullying on lands <br />covered by this authorization and adjacent thereto, resulting from construction, operation, <br />maintenance, and termination of the authorized use. The holder shall so construct permitted <br />improvements to avoid the accumulation of excessive heads of water and to avoid <br />encroaclmient on streams. The holder shall revegetate or othernise stabilize all ground where <br />the soil Iran been exposed as a result of the holder's construction, maintenance, operation, or <br />temination of the authorized use and shall construct and maintain necessary preventive <br />measures to supplement the vegetation. <br />6. Fire Eouiument. (F7) <br />The holder shall install fire extinguishers and firefighting apparatus of types, of capacities, in <br />numbers, and at locations approved by flte authorized officer. This equipment shall be in <br />1'eadiness at all times for immediate use, and shall be tested each year, at such times as may be <br />required by the authorized officer. <br />Archaeoloeical-Paleontological Discoveries.(X 17) <br />The holder shall immediately notify the authorized officer of any and all antiquities or other <br />objects of historic or scientific interest. These include, but are not limited ta, historic or <br />pr'eltistoric ruins, fossils, or artifacts discovered as the result of operations under this <br />authorization, and shall leave such discoveries intact until authorized to proceed by the <br />authorized officer. Protective and mitigative measures specified by the authorized officer shall <br />be the responsibility of the holder. <br />8. Superseded Authorization. (X-1 S) <br />This authorization supersedes a special use authorization designated: Project Aereement 96-O1, <br />dated Seotembet' 16. 1998. <br />9. Disnutes(X-96) <br />Appeal of any provisions of this authorization or any requirements thereof shall be subject to <br />the appeal regulations at 36 CFR 251, Subpart C, or revisions [hereto. <br />10. Hazardous Materials. (R2 B 102) <br />Consent to Store. The holder shall not store any hazardous materials at the site without <br />obtaining the prior written approval of the authorzed officer, and this approval shall noE he <br />unreasonably withheld.
