MINED LAND~ILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALUATI~ (Revised) <br />for limited impact and select regular mine applications <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for <br />use by Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a <br />mining permit for: <br />Stones Ranch Gravel Pit; File No. M-91-080; NE1/4NE1/4529-T14S-R70W <br />Name/Type and Location of Mine (Legal) <br />Wildlife Species List: Mountain Lion, Mule Deer, Elk, B;L~~k~B~~a'rt f_~ <br />Coyote . ~ ,: __ <br />Endangered/Critical Species/impacted: <br />SEP 1 2 1P9i <br />iviinsd Land <br />None Known ~`-C)8 f118 t(p ~r ~~j y;`.iGr <br />Critical Habitats/Vegetative Communities Impacted: Ponderosa Pine <br />Grassland Mix. <br />Assessment of impact: The area provides exceptionally good habitat <br />for Mountain Lion, Black Bear, and Elk, however, the impacts to <br />these and other species should be minimal if the site is properly <br />mined and reclaimed. <br />Mine Reclamation Recommendations (include key species/habitats for <br />which s•eatoration is designed): Topsoil should be stockpiled for <br />use during reclamation and seeded with a temporary seed mix if left <br />stockpiled for periods exceeding six months. Final slopes should <br />not exceed 3H:1V.
