Outlet from impoundment 1 and 2 (Appendix 2.05.3-1OD) <br />Permanent Rilis and Gullies are proposed for the bacld-filled mine area. Maintenance, <br />monitoring, and reclamation repair activities will be conducted as outlined in Section <br />2.05.6. <br />Following sediment control structure construction, the disturbed area was revegetated <br />in accordance with the procedures specified in Section 2.05.4. The area was graded, <br />fertilized, seeded, and mulched. Pond inspections will comply with Rule 4.05.6 (13) <br />with a commitment to quarterly inspections conducted by or under the direction of a <br />registered professional engineer. <br />During the bonding period, the sediment storage capacity will be periodically <br />monitored; and when necessary, sediment will be excavated and disposed in accordance <br />with Section 2.05.6. In addition Sun Coal Company will maintain a water quality <br />sampling maintenance and reporting proo~ram during the bonding period as outlined in <br />Section 2.05.6. <br />Sedimentation ponds will remain in place for the use of the landowner in support of his <br />commercial operations after bond and liability release. The sediment ponds comply <br />with the requirements of 4.05.9(1). <br />Tov i1 <br />Prior to mining, topsoil from the Meadows No. 1 Mine area was removed, segregated. <br />and stockpiled for protection from erosion and contamination from mining activities.
