of a planting area. These may include variation in localized topographic relief due to final
grading or the sequencing of operations that may split a planting area into several years. In the
latter case, It may be more beneficial to adjust the planting location to complete the entire
planting. The availability of better topographic relief or aspect, and hence better planting site,
will take precedent in locating a final planting site. Adjusted locations will be maintained
within 750 feet of the planned planting location shown on Exhibit 22-land 22-1A whenever
possible.
The following acreages by reclaimed community type (i.e., seed mix or planting list) are
anticipated for the Seneca II-W Mine area and the tie-across haul road. It should be
noted that the addition of large numbers of native species (harvested from native sources) will
contribute larger quantities of trash and inert matter. However, all seed mixes are specified on
a PLS basis, ensuring that the specified amount of viable seed is being applied. Sources will be
on a regional basis whenever possible, particularly for the native harvest species. Seed tags
for all seed used in a given reclamation year will be presented in the annual reclamation report.
Native species predominate in all mixes, including Seed Mix No. 4 for temporary reclamation.
The following species, by seed mix, are introduced.
PR03 27 Revised 11 /02
