r
Representative Project:Experience: Water Supply: (Grntinuert)
Administration Medical Center. Services included supplemental well design, specification
preparation, well testing, and instrumentation.
Cherry Creek Wellfield Development, Denver Water, Denver, CO. Project manager for
bydrogeologic investigations in connection with basin-wide appraisal of geology and Bound water
resources of the Cherry Creek Basin. Responsibilities included data collection, well design,
supervision of well construction and testing, and data synthesis and analysis. This project involved
assessing ground water availability in the Cherry Creek Valley, determining the sustainable yield
from the alluvial deposits at the site, and the design of replacement wells.
Farnell Lane Wellfield Development, Littleton, CO. Project manager responsible for ground water
development study. This project involved assessing the ground water development potential in the
South Platte alluvial aquifer. Services included hydrologic analysis of a potential wllfield sites;
preliminary design of wells, pumps, and transmission mains; and cost estimates.
Representative Project Experience: Surface and Cround Water Modeling
East San Joaquin Parties/East Bay Municipal Utility District Project Review. Member of a
technical review team responsible for detailed review of a regional ground water flow and solute
transport model developed by others for analysis of a variety of water management alternatives,
including an extensive water storage and recovery scheme in the American River Basin ofNortlrern
California.
Vero Beach Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant and Wellfield, Vero Beach FL. Project
hydrogeologist responsible for performing reconnaissance-level hydrogeologic studies, preparing
well designs, and providing on-site construction oversight during well drilling and testing. Also
responsible for developing an analytical well field model and a numerical ground water model of the
principal aquifer. This model was used to assist the community inlong-range forecasting ofwater
resource availability, beneficial impacts of reuse system, and susceptibility of principal aquifer to
salt water intrusion, and for analyzing impacts of competing ground water uses. Scope of services
included design and startup of the new, 6-mgd reverse osmosis water treatment plant and three 275-
foot deep, 1,200-gpm wells supplying water to the new plant. The 6-mgd plant was designed for
expansion to 20 mgd.
Washington County Purpose and Need Study, Washington County, UT. Discipline manager
responsible for implementing a surface water allocation model of the Virgin River Basin in
Washington County. The project involved developing and evaluating alternatives for meeting the
water supply needs in Washington County. The model to determine yields available under the
hydrologic, operational, and environmental constraints of the Virgin River system. Costs and
environmental considerations associated with each alternative were also developed.
WILLIAM F. HAH N, PG
