.~
kXHIBIT B
Mining Plan:
Material taken from this pit ti:ill be used in the ,
maintenance of county roads in the near vicinity.
,.. This is a creek bed operation in a normally dry
' creek bed. The stream bed has been used before
as a gravel source. First by the State 4:ighway
Dept. during the construction of St. Highway #71.
The normal proceedure is to doze the gravel into
piles and then load with a front end loader into
county dump trucks. The stock piling of gravel is
not done for any length of time. Sometimes enough
is left in a pile to~back to in the following week.
i~
The gravel strata varies from one to two feet. It
is good gravel with not as much dirt as is so:~etimes
found.
The shallow depth of the gravel results in a larger
surface area being mined than is usually the case.
See exhibit C-1.
There is no vegetation in the stream bed itself from
which the gravel is obtained. The banks of the creek
are not used for a gravel source. There is some
traffic on them, but not enough to destroy the
vegetation.
There are no adjacent land owners as the whole section
is owned b}~ one owner. Access to the creek botom is by
trail road made and used by the owner in the normal
care of his cattle.
