FREI - {YALSTRUM MIN~~O~~~~~
MLRB Application No. 83-33
ADDENDU~d
.!UfJ 1 ~ 1983
MINED LAND NECLAMATION
The following paragraph is added to the Q~r@g~, ~f~~~i~E361RCes
at the end of page 10.
The operator plans to conduct a study of slope stability
and rock mechanics when the floor area has been opened and the
slopes are exposed from at least three sides. At that time the
base data available will permit a quality study that will con-
cern safety through slope stability analysis and long-range
reclamation stability. In addition, the data may help the
operator develop improved mining techniques by suggesting
changes in attack angles and attitudes. The study will be con-
ducted when mining of Stage I is completed (see Map Exhibit D-1),
estimated in the Mining Timetable to occur in three to five years.
However, if the sluggish economy continues, the estimated time
could stretch to six to ten years. If the operator determines
that it is feasible and desirable to undertake the study earlier,
he will do so.
N~~
(~~-~ /~
~3 l s¢3
/ U/`"-~
~ ~~
~v v `

~_
l0A
