ANNUAL CERTIFICATION OF
SEDIMENTATION POND MB-1
This annual certification is prepazed in compliance with Rule 4.05.9(10)
and 4.05.6(13) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board
for Coal Mining.
Phil Schmidt, the certifying engineer, has been working in the engineering
field for more than 14 years and has experience in the construction and inspection
of fills, dams, and embankments. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the
State of Colorado.
The specifications for MB-1 are presented in and Exhibit 66 of the Mining
and Reclamation Plan.
At the time of inspection the north cell of MB-1 was being retrofitted with
geotextile clay liner. The pond and embankment was visually inspected for erosion
and structural conditions and no problems were observed.
