Long
Division Duecmr
The Division of Minerals and Geology has reviewed the sediment pond reports for the above mentioned
period submitted by Greg Lewicki and Associates for the Rimrock mine.
These reports comply with the requirements of Rule 4.05.6(13) for inspection of sediment ponds at coal
mining sites. Generally, the pond holds water only for limited periods after storm runoff events.
Adequate sediment and water storage capacity, spillway function, and embankment stability was noted
during each of the inspections. Mr. Lewicki noted no remarkable observations. Based on our
independent observations during field inspections we concur with the observations as noted.
We have no questions regarding these reports. Thank you for your diligence in completing your
monitoring requirements in accordance with the Rules governing coal mining.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sinc rely, r /,
eht A.
