Note that Outfall
001A discharged approximately one week in mid-April, and discharged the second half of May into the
first week of June before discharge stopped. Outfall 002A flowed during the period, buf stopped flowing
the second week in June. 3001 flowed each week of the period. No permit limitation exceedances
occurred during this period, with the exception of elevated pH readings at 002A during the first three
weeks of May (above the permit limit of 9.0). The elevated readings appear to be related to algae
growth in the waste water lagoons. Immediate use of an algaecide reduced algae growth. Subsequent
pH readings were all below 9.0.
A Quarterly Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) was conducted for Outfall 001W in January 2003. This test
indicated that the effluent was not acutely toxic to Daphnia magna survival. Copies of the WET Test
Report Forms are attached.
Please contact me directly at (970) 870-2750 with any questions.

Brian A.
