There will be no flow through the emergency spillway <br />inlet as a result of the runoff from a 10-year, 24-hour precipitation <br />event or less. See Figure 1 for explanation of above. <br />TABLE 3 <br />Pond 008 is designed to safely pass the runoff from the 100-year, 24-hour <br />precipitation eveni without overtopping the dam. The top of the dam <br />elevation (7019.1) is 1.7 feet above the peak stage elevation of 7017.4. <br />CONSTRUCTION PLAN <br />• <br />Site Work Prior to Embankment Construction <br />The embankment construction area was dewatered as much as practicable to <br />allow heavy equipment to operate in the area. To accomplish this, a <br />dewatering trench or trenches was excavated with a small backhoe. A pump <br />was set in the trench to lower the local water table. Peabody received a <br />Construction Dewatering Wastewater Discharge Permit from the Colorado <br />Department of Health. This permit allowed Peabody to discharge this water <br />away from the construction activities while maintaining water quality. <br />6 <br />
