• Wells identified on Map 4, Hine No. 3 Hydrology, as having been
used for baseline data collection were sampled and analyzed for an
eztensive list of major, trace and special elements during the
baseline period. The chemical data from ground water analyses
collected to date are shown in Table 30, Groundwater Quality Data.
Sufficient data have been collected to discern variations, if any,
in ground water quality. The average amounts of dissolved
constituents is the overburden aquifer water substantiates the fact
that the aquifer is marginally suitable for domestic use.
The chemical characteristics of shallow ground water in the
alluvial aquifers in the proposed permit and adjacent area are also
shown in Table 30, Groundwater Quality Data. The quality of water
• in the alluvium is similar to surface water quality in the
intermittent and perennial streams, consisting mostly of calcium
bicarbonate ions. The quality of the shallow ground water is
suitable for agricultural and limited domestic use.
C2) Surface Water Information
(a) Surface water information shall be provided, including the
name of the watershed which will receive water discharges from the permit
area, the location of all surface water bodies such a streams, lakes,
ponds, and springs, the location of any water discharge into any surface
• body of water, and descriptions of surface draining systems sufficient to
identify, in detail, the seasonal variations in water quantity and
2.04-45
