The Colorado Division <br />of Minerals and Geology arbmittod adequacy review comuents to the applicant on July 5 and <br />July 11, 2002. The irrfomaation and discussion below addresses each oommdat as it was <br />presented by the Division <br />Response to Commetaq Submitted on Joy 3, 2002: <br />Rule 6.4.7 Exhibit G -Water Infotroation <br />Commwu 4 <br />The Division requests that the applicant provide infiormetion from the Substittute Supply Plan <br />including wells within 600 feet of the permit area and consumptive use of water at the operation. <br />Additional information for Exhibit G is irtcAuded as Attachment A The ettachmeai provides <br />ittfottnation concerning water rt:quirernents sad sources of water for the operetion slang with <br />surrounding water rights. A 600-fart well iaspoctiou has boss completed sad no registered or <br />um~egistrxed wells ware located within 600 foot of the proposed site boundary that would require <br />notiScation by the State Engineers Office. <br />Sufficient sources of water ere available to replace conwmptive uses by the operation. 1n <br />addition to the i~ormation provided in Attachment A, the applicsat commits to having the <br />approved Substimrte Water Supply klan and well permit prior to exposure of groundwater at the <br />proposed Two Rivera sine. <br />Comment 3 <br />Attacb~ment B presents ea estimate of crureot hydrostratigrapbic ootrditions mad potential affects <br />of the mitring operation. Existing conditions were es using available published <br />iafotmatioa end data from prelitmnary site investigations. Potential effects of the mining <br />operation ware estimated using steady-state enalydcal solutions and sirnplilyirrg assumptions. <br />
