EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN AND TIMETABLE
RBCIAMATTON PL1N
The proposed future use is to be rangeland, its current use.
Please refer to MAP EXHIBIT F-RECLAMATION PLAN MAP for the location of
the areas discussed in this text. In the MINING PLAN we explained
how mining would take place on 38.65 acres t within the permit
boundary. The site area sill have 3:1 slopes from the surround-
ing ground level to the mine floor. This will create and amphi-
theater appearance in the hill side. Of the mined area 20.20
acres will be slope and 13.19 acres will be level floor. The
site will be resoiled and revegetated as mining takes place. The
topsoil will not be compacted during placement. Seeds will be
tracked in using dozers, running perpendicular to the slopes.
Dozer track imprints provide small indentions, which help retain
moisture and minimize runoff.
The reclamation timetable shows the amount of land in each
reclamation area when complete. Approximately 138 of the area in
the permit will not be disturbed by mining and will be kept in
their natural state.
Final slopes will be rough graded to a maximum gradient of
3s1, then covered with 6" to 8" of topsoil. Topsoil for reclama-
tion will either be stripped from active mining areas and placed
directly on an area ready for reclaiming or taken from topsoil
stockpiles and placed. This will also insure, that if mining
ceases before it is complete, only a minor amount of work would
have to be done to finish reclamation in the disturbed area. The
placement of the soil stockpiles around the setback/perimeter of
the mined area or replacing it on a finished slope as it is
removed is designed to minimize the effect of mid-plan stoppage.
This will place the topsoil where it will be needed for reclama-
tion and will reduce the distance it has to be hauled for recla-
mation. Usually, this will mean it simply has to be shaped and
graded.
As mining progresses across the property some parts of the
property will remain undisturbed while other areas will be either
stripped, mined, partially reclaimed or totally reclaimed. The
MINING PLAN MAP -EXHIBIT C-1 shows how the area will look when approxi-
mately 758 is mined. Note how the final slopes around the
perimeter is complete, how the side slopes in the active stage
are complete and only the working face needs any shaping, if
mining ended at this time.
it
