Name: Application approved cost estimated needed
Doc. Date: 2-22-2007
Specialist: ACS
Subject: FW: Overlook Mine Application
Carl, I'll process the approval; can you assign the estimate? Seems like the estimate should have been done
before the decision date, but what do I know. I'll modify the canned approval letter to state that the estimate and
bond requirement is forthcoming. Paul Banks is onboard with this modified procedure.
-Allen
From: Sorenson, Allen .,;.
Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2007 1:55 PM ''~'
To: 'pbanks@banksandgesso.com'
Subject: Overlook Mine Application
Paul,
As we discussed on the phone, Rick Wenzel talked to Lyle Sidener of the Division of Wildlife on 2/16, ancJ'~le
stated that the DOW issues with the Overlook Mine application have been adequately addressed through the
wildlife impact mitigation plan prepared by Western Ecosystems Inc., which has been incorporated into the
application. Rick placed a memo in the file documenting DOW's determination. As a result, the application no.
M-2006-075 has been approved; the approval letter will be issued the first part of next week. Since Rick has left
the Division, another specialist will be doing a reclamation cost estimate for this application, and we will forward
the amount required for permit issuance to you and the applicant as soon as it is ready. As always, the applicant
can review and comment on the estimate if they disagree with the amount of bond as determined by the Division.
-Allen
2/22/2007
