~ 2. Daring the escrow period the Second Party
will undertake, as far as possible, to do all things
necessary to comply with all the ter:ss and conditions
which are required under the United States Lease, so
as to continue the e:tistence of the said Lease in good
standing.
3. D wing the escrow period the Second Party
expects to do certain engineering for and exploration
on the U:t.ted States Lease and will furnish and de-
liver to the First Party, proper conies o^ reports,
maps and otter documents so t!~e govern.~ent agencies
and the T_'irst Party can be provided with the same
and furthervore during t:~is period the Second Party
will abide by and comply with all applicable statutes,
orders directives rules and regulations of the duly
• constituted authorities of the United States and of the
State of Colorado.

4. During the period of five (j) years from and
after the date hereof Second Party shall be allowed
to enter upon the lan~ embraced in United States
Lease and to prospect said lands for coal by diamond
drilling, or otlzer~dise. Six (6) ronths prior to the
end of any one year period beginning 1•~arch 1, 191+9,

or will desire another year to prospect said lands and
