Box 23.1116 MINEOTA DwvE
SILT, CoLOw~OO 81652
PHOrvF/FAx(970)876-5397
bacol@rof.net
March 19, 1999
Carl Mount
Program Supervisor
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St. Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Mr. Mount:
'DECEIVED
MAR 2 2 1999
^s.cn of tdinerals 8 Geology
At the request ofRobert Congdon ofAvalanche Creek Marble & Alabaster (ACMA), I am enclosing
three (3) copies ofExhibit E, Mining Plan Map, in accordance with §6.3.5(2) ofthe HardRock/Metal
Mining Rriles and Regulations as amended to October 1995, for the White Banks Mine. This should
complete ACMA's permit application.
Please note that the map is in two parts, separated by White River National Forest Forest
Development Road 310 (FDR 310). That portion of the permit area northeast of FDR 310 is known
as the Mine Yard and Portal Bench and contains the White Bank Mine portal as well as support
facilities for the underground operation. The map is to a scale of 1:240 (1" = 20'). That portion of
the permit area southeast of FDR 310 comprises the Main Yard Area and contains storage areas for
equipment and blocks of alabaster awaiting transport as well as additional mine support facilities. In
order to fit this map to 8.5" x 11 "paper size it is presented at a scale of 1:720 (1 " = 60'). Please also
note that these are diagrammatic maps, that is while the boundaries and facilities locations shown on
them are reasonably accurate, these features have not been surveyed.
It should be emphasized that FDR 310 was a public road prior to the establishment of the White
Banks Mine, remains a public road, and will continue as a public road after completion ofmining from
White Banks. It is therefore not included in the permit area.
If you have any questions or require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Bruce A. Collins, Ph.D.
Enc.
cc: R. L. Congdon
