three uppermost named seams contain the reserves considered in <br />this report. In addition to the named seams, another seam occurs <br />between the Sopris and U. Starkville Seams. The quality of this <br />seam has not been determined, as of the date of this report, <br />"'~'r althou h lab data are ex acted to show <br />g p poor results. The <br />relative positions of each seam are shown on Figure 1. <br />The coal bearing strata have been subjected to igneous <br />intrusions. A major dike intruded the Vermejo Formation seams in <br />the northern part of the A.P. Green Refractories lease tract. <br />Previous mining, underground, in the Sopris and Lower Starkville <br />Seams did not appear to be adversely impacted by this or other <br />intrusions. Mining proceeded up to two major dikes in the <br />Engleville mine in the NW/4 of Section 31 T33S-R63W. Additional <br />surface and airphoto mapping is advised for the A.P.
