As the permit application is both inadequate and
incomplete with regard to the impacts of the proposed project, Colorado law, and
Federal laws, we will not need any expert witnesses but rather will rely primarily on the
permit application itself to support our concerns with the project.
Documents to which we may refer include:
• the permit application and its associated exhibits and documents
• the Anasazi Culture Multiple-Use Area ACEC Plan Management Guidelines
• 12 January 1998 letter from the Hopi Tribe
• the Colorado Construction Materials Rule
• documents from the Division of Minerals and Geology file regarding the
project, including correspondence between DMG staff and the project proponen[s and
their agents, also letters to/from the Bureau of Land Management, the Colorado
Historical Society, and project objectors
Thank you for your ongoing consideration of our concerns.
Sine rely,
-~
ee R.
