This request was forwarded to me for review. I apologi2:e for the <br />delay in my being able to review your request. <br />Your letter is accompanied by a report from Nalco indicating that optimum treatment occurs with addition of <br />2 ppm of Nalco 9806 (plus 20 ppm of Nalco 7888). Also included is the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) <br />for 9806, which indicates that the chemical is essentially non-toxic to slightly toxic to aquatic life with the <br />static 48-hour acute LC,o for daphnia of 280 mg1P -well above the recommended dosage of 2 ppm. Toxicity <br />levels for other species are even higher. <br />On this basis, we approve use of this chemical at the recommended dosage level. <br />Please contact me at (303)+692-3605 if you have questions. <br />Since <br />Jon C.
