Variations in these data (Table 6) aze summarized in Figure 8 and Table 2.
Table 2. Field Hydrology Summary Statistical Data
Min. Max. Between 1,355 and 1,515 feet (lower Mahogany
Zone, B-Groove, and upper R-6 Zone), dischazge decreased slightly (201 to 169 gpm), but then
increased between 1,515 and 1,710 feet (189 to 253 gpm) in the lower R-6 Zone and upper
L-5 Zone. After the casing was set (1,710 feet), drilling to TD {1,731 feet) encountered
discharge flow rates ranging between about 0.33 to 1.2 gpm in the middle L-5 Zone.
The pH readings above the casing point (1,710 feet) show little variation, averaging about
8.5 (Table 6 and Figure 8). Water samples collected below the casing point had higher pH
readings, ranging between 8.51 and 9.60. The temperature of the dischazge water above the
casing point gradually increased with depth (15.6 °C to 18.8 °C). Below the casing point, water
temperatures were about the same (17.0 °C to 19.3 °C). Conductivity measurements showed
little vaziation above the casing point (1,000 to 1,330 microsiemens per centimeter [µS/cm]).
However, below the casing point, conductivity readings ranged from 1,910 to more than
20,000 µS/cm. TDS readings were not taken above the casing point. TDS measurements below
the casing point ranged from 800 to more than 20,000 parts-per-million (ppm). The highest
conductivity and TDS readings occurred in the lower 6 feet of the hole (1,725 to 1,731 ft). These
high values aze chazacteristic of the highly saline waters in the lowermost Leached Zone Aquifer
System.
6
