Upon reclamation, natural shelter <br />should be re-established. <br />It is anticipated, based on observations at other <br />mines, that food sources on reclaimed lands will exceed <br />those found on natural areas. Wyoming Fuel Company will <br />plant a diverse mixture of native vegetation in order to <br />restore the balance of food sources. <br />Aquatic biota - Adverse effects are not <br />anticipated, since there are no•ponds, streams or lakes <br />on the mine area or adjacent areas. <br />• <br />No threatened or endangered species will be <br />affected by the mining operations within the mine plan area. <br />Blasting will not be done during early <br />morning or late evening hours, when wildlife are most active. <br />Blasting will only be done during daylight hours when wildlife <br />is located in protected cover. <br />Electric transmission lines (if any) will be <br />constructed in accordance with the standards required by <br />30 CFR 816.97 (c ). Construction of transmission and <br />distribution lines to these standards will assure that <br />electrocutions of large raptors will be avoided. Off-road <br />vehicle use of the permit area will be kept to a minimum. <br />Only authorized travel in the areas will be permitted, and <br />no unauthorized vehicles will be allowed on the site. <br />Protection of the sage grouse strutting ground <br />will be accomplished by location of the haul road one- <br />• quarter of a mile to the north.
