-26-
•
I-1
U
Operations Plan
1. An access road will be constructed from an existing access gate located
on Highway 13 to the pond location. The road will be approximately 550
feet iong`and 20 feet ;vide. It will be constructed approximately level
with the existing ground surface to avoid the possibility of impounding
water if Good Spring Creek rose out of its banks. A culvert will be
utilized as a temporary crossing at Good Spring Creek. Follo+ving comple-
tion of construction, the crossing will be removed. The same procedure
will be incorporated for crossing during future dredging operations.
2. Vegetation will be removed from the area and a key cut made as shown in
Figure 2.
3. The pond will be excavated to design elevations shown on fioure 1.
4. Excavated material +•rill be placed into the dam configuration in successive
lifts to ensure a minimum of 90% compaction.
5. Outlet structures and protection wilt be constructed as shown in Figures
1 and 2.
6. Following completion of construction, the area will be prepared for and
reseeded.
Bond
The reclamation plan for the Gulch A Pond will require dozing the
dam into the pond excavation, sloping the surface to blend with existing con-
tours, preparing the surface for seeding, and seeding the area to establish
vegetation and stabilize the fill.
Reclamation Cost Estimate
A
Fill and Contour
D-10 Production 2800 yd3/hr
Operator Efficiency
Material
50 Min./Hr.
Availability
Utilization
7700 yd3/1708 yd3/hr. _
4.5 hr. x 8111.73/hr.
operating
.75
1.20
.84
.S5
.45
.61 = 1708 cu.yd./hr.
4.5 hr.
$502.58
Revegetation
Area disturbed will be .30 acres including the dam and pond area and a
buffer extending approximately 20 feet past the toe of the dam.
B
• .30 acres x 8317/acre = $ 95.10
Cost to Reclaim Pond = $597.63 or 8600.00
