C®AL~
COfd1PAfllY
February 9, 1987
Mr. Jeff Deckler
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
423 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203
5731 State Highway 13
Meeker, Colorado 81641
(303) 824-4451
RE: Certified As Built Drawings - 6ossard Loop Pond, Pt. 006
Dear Mr. Deckler:
Enclosed are certified drawings of the Gossard Loop Pond,
Discharge Pt. 006. You will note from the drawings that there is an
• elevation difference of approximately four feet between design from earlier
maps and actual survey data. The pond was purposely oversized during
design. The required three year sediment storage was estimated to be 0.07
acre feet and the 10 year, 24 hour runoff volume was 0.27 acre r`eet for a
total storage requirement of 0.34 acre feet to contain the 10 year, 24 hour
event and three year sediment storage. The as built capacity of the pond
is 1.21 acre feet below the primary spillway and 1.66 acre feet belo~n the
emergency.
Subtracting out
feet from 1.21 acre feet
sediment storage capacity
=!+I/k h
Enclosure
the 10 year, 24 hour rainfall event of 0.27 acre
available below the primary spillway yields a
of .9~ acre feet.
Sincerely,
,`,
l~
E Moyer
Geologist/Reclamation Specialist
cc: L.
