' INTRODUCTION <br />' This application is submitted to the P•tined Land Reclam- <br />ation Board, State of Colorado pursuant to C.R.S. 1973 34-32-101 <br />' et.seg. The Regular Permit Application Form (112) was submitted <br />on September 29, 1977. <br />' The pit is owned and operated by Adams County, Colorado <br />' for the purpose of extracting sand and gravel for road and highway <br />construction. The pit has been mined since 1960 by the former prop- <br />' erty owners and Adams County has continued to mine the property since <br />1 it purchased the land in 1973. <br />The continued operation of the DeBetz Gravel Pit will <br />assist the County in maintaining its roads and highways at the lowest <br />' cost, will enhance the 'recreational opportunities in the County Park, <br />'and will allow additional space for a larger wildlife habitat adjoin- <br />' ing the County Nature Preserve. <br />' The INDEX MAP on page A-3 depicts the location of the DeBetz <br />Gravel Pit.Page A-4 contains a legal description of Tract "B" of the <br />Adams County Regional Park Complex, which is the DeBetz Property. <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />' A-2 <br /> <br />
