• Establish a cement plug Erom the bottom of the borehole extending through the completion <br />zone(s) to a point at lease 20 feet above the uppermost zone of completion (groundwater and <br />monitoring well only). <br />• Backfill the remaining interval with cuttings or other suitable material to within ten (10) feet of <br />the ground surface. <br />• Establish a cement surface plug from the top of the cuttings to approximately three (3) feet <br />below the ground surface. <br />• Mark the well location with a steel fence post. <br />• Backfill the remainder of the hole with cuttings or other suitable material and xegrade the <br />associated surface area <br />• As a private well that was used for mine water supply under agreement with the landowner, <br />the Corely Well will revert to landowner control on completion of mining. EFCI will be <br />responsible for reclamation of surface disturbance associated with access to and use of the <br />well during active mining operations. <br />Compliance with Applicable Air and Water Oualit~Regulations <br />EFCI's ongoing mining and reclamation plans have been designed to effect compliance with applicable <br />air and water quality regulations. Compliance is effected by a variet}~ of control and mitigation <br />measures and is documented by comprehensive monitoring programs. <br />Compliance with applicable Federal, State and local water regulations is a result of design and <br />implementation of the comprehensive drainage and sediment control plan as described in this permit <br />text and detailed by Exhibit 19, Drainage and Sediment Control Plan. Ongoing monitoring programs, <br />and operation under the provisions of NPDES discharge permits (Permit Nos. CO-0036595 and CO- <br />0037109) issued by the Colorado Department of Health are also important components of EFCI's <br />ongoing compliance efforts.
