Greystone provided
herbaceous production sample results and assisted in the
identification of plant communities, reference areas, and plant
species while Mr. Hayes was responsible for the rest of the project
and its overall direction. Portions of this report were provided
by Ms. McKee.
• METHODS
Threatened and Endangered Species:
During reconnaissance and sampling, the site and adjacent
areas were searched for threatened or endangered plant species,
with special attention given to the possible existence of Payson
lupine (LUOinus crassus) which has been previously identified in
the vicinity of Naturita. Prior to the main portion of field work,
Payson lupine specimens held at the University of Colorado
herbarium were viewed. No threatened or endangered species were
-1-
•
