We respectfully request the reclamation surety be established at a maximum.
of $1500.00. We propose to submit a Certificate of Deposit to be held in
an escrow account as security of performance. Justification of the reduced
amount is based on the estimated costs as follows:
The documentation demonstrates that the area to be reclaimed can be read-
ily shaped and restored with the available topsoil. Our proposal to fert-
ilize and mulch will greatly enhance the establishment of desirable
grasses that are native to the area. In addition, our intention of
developing that area as a future commercial site provides in itself an
incentive to restore the disturbed area to a condition much superior to
the surrounding undisturbed area. Our computations are based upon restor-
ing all four acres even though some of the area will remain unmined. The
costs are projected as follows:
