These pr perties
are in the FA-1 Farming Zoning District which requires Special Rev ew approval
for any quarry that began operation or expanded since April 26, 19 3.
From our research, it appears that the Arkins Park South Quarry (F'le M-85-
214) and the southern five acres of the Loveland Buff-Trupp Quarry (File M-85-
212) have not expanded beyond the area that was being mined in 197 We would
therefore, consider these area to be "legal, non-conforming" quarries as long
as they do not expand beyond the 1973 boundaries.
The quarry operator has applied for Special Review approval, so
can be expanded as necessary; and if approved, it will then bec
use. The application will be considered by the Board of County
in March, 1986.
Sincerely, ~
Gerald L.
