Description of Vegetation and Soil Characteristics: <br />PAGE 04 <br />The natural vegetation consists of blue grams, little bluestem, sideoats <br />grams, prairie sandreed, western wheatgrass, needleandthread, sand <br />dropseed, and green needlegrass. Forbs and shrubs found on this soil <br />complex include: dotted gayfeather, purple prairieclover, slimflower <br />scurfpea, wooly indianwheat, wormwood, wooly locoweed,scarley <br />globemallow, broom snakeweed, fringed sagebrush, yucca, and prickly <br />pear. The soils are Schamber-Stonehasm complex which is rated as poor <br />due to slope and small stones. <br />2. Permanent man made structures within 200'. There is an existing barbed <br />wire fence approximately 100' north of the proposed pit boundary. Owner <br />of the fence is Harold Rother who Cheyenne County has entered into a lease <br />with to operate this gravel pit. Adjacent landowner to the north in Section <br />28 is LDS Farms, L.P. This adjacent landowner will be noh~ed in <br />application packet sent Return Receipt Request There will be na <br />disturbance to the fence structure. <br />
