WELL 91-1V <br />PLUG AND ABANDONMENT <br />13 June 2005 <br />Road rig from Denver to well field. <br />14 June 2005 <br />Rig up Layne Western rig on well. <br />Break off well head flange. Pick up 9-5/8 inch Cast Iron Bridge Plug. (CIBP) Pick up string <br />of 2-7/8 tubing and run plug in well to 1920 feet. Could not get to bottom of well. Got hot <br />water truck and flushed well. Still could not get down. <br />I S June 2005 <br />Pulled CIBP out of well. Picked up 8-3/4 inch bit. Ran in well. Tagged @ 1860 feet. Drilled <br />less than 2 feet and hit solid substance. (casing). Rotated bit 45 minutes @ 1860 feet. Could <br />not get down. Worked bit another hour. Still no progress. <br />Contacted BLM (Paul Daggett) and EPA (Nathan Wiser). Discussed problems. <br />Pulled out of well with bit. Bit had iron sulfide and normal junk from casing packed in cones. <br />Bottom of bit showed good wear as if we were drilling on metal. <br />Picked up CIBP and ran in well. Se[ CIBP @ 1860, per discussion and verbal approval from <br />all agencies. <br />16 June 2005 <br />Trip 2-7/8 tubing from well. Remove CIBP running tools. Run tubing back in well open <br />ended for cement plug. Ran pipe to 1855 feet. <br />Rigged up Big 4 Cementers. Pumped 190 sacks of 15.8# Class G cement on top of CIBP. <br />Pulled tubing from well. <br />Rigged up Weatherford wireline service on well. Tagged cement top @ 1406 feet. Perforate <br />casing @ 1380 feet, 4 shots,'/z inch. <br />Well did not drain. Re-perforated well casing @ 1250 feet. Well still would not drain. <br />Installed casing head and pressured up well to 1000 PSI on casing. No circulation to surface. <br />Shut down to contact BLM and EPA again about new problems. Got verbal approval to <br />cement casing to surface from EPA and BLM. <br />Ran tubing in open ended to 1302 feet. Pumped 235 sacks light 12.8# cement to surface. <br />Pulled pipe from well. <br />17 June 2005 <br />Rigged down. Moved rig from well. <br />23 June 2005 <br />Filled casing to surface with grout cement. Installed dry hole marker on well casing, stuck <br />down in cement and welded to surface casing. <br />
