COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, Water Quality Control Division
Rationale -Page 11, Permit No. CO-0043648
Also, if discharge occurs as a result of the 10-year, 24-hour storm volume being a:ceeded and the
permirtee wishes to claim the exemption from technology based ejJluent limitations, the permirtee shall
submit, within 5 days of the said discharge, documentation that the facility was maintained to contain
the previously specified volume. The permirtee must afro submit documentation of the storm event,
including the precipitation gauge station (or the perminee's own gauge), the volume of runoff
produced and the steps taken to maintain treatmem and minimize the amount of overflow.
All data/documentation required by this section which can not be reported on applicable discharge
monitoring report formr (DMRsJ shall be reported in a letter as art attachment to the DMR. Submittal
of documentation of containmem, maintenance and precipitation records above does not exempt the
permittee from the standard norification requirements of the permit.
d. Limits, for Soecific Discharge Poinu In addition to the limits listed in the following tables, the "No
Discharge" limitation described in section VI.A.I.a. applies to all potential discharges that may be
tributary to the discharge points listed. This may require, in addition to maintaining compliance with
the numeric limits shown, demonstration that there has been no statrstical increase in instream
pollutant concentrations or loads. This is discussed in more detail in the monitoring conditions
sections of both the rationale and the permit.
Table V/-l EJJluent Limits jot:
Discharge Points OOIA (no starmwater) and OO1B (including stormwater) - Arequa Gulch at Station AGI.S; and
Point 007A, Discharges From the Valley Leach Facility That Qualify jot Annual Preciprtation or Storm Exemptions
Discharge Limilatians - Maximum Concentrations
Ejfiueru Parameter 30-Day Avg. 7-Day Avg.
