!1
~~~ COMMERCIAL TESTING 8 ENGINEEflING CO.
BINGE ~YM~
O AssTRACT
Commercial Testing and Engineering, Co. (CT&E) conducted a two species acute bioassay on
Western Fuel -Colorado's New Horizon Mine dischazge site 007. The purpose of this bioassay
was to determine if the facility complies with the WET portion of the Colorado State Permit
System Authorization to Dischazge. The test organisms utilized were the fathead minnow
(Pimephales promelas) and the daphnid (Daphnia magna). Test results indicate that the
effluent was not acutely toxic to either species. Therefore, Western Fuels -Colorado
discharge site 007 effluent is in compliance with the acute WET portion of its Colorado State
Discharge Permit for the fourth quarter of 2002.
n Q
~J
I~
~ F>zs
