• The site is located on a terrace of the Gunnison River and is found in an open meadow and oak <br />brush thickets. Feature 1 contains very few structural remains; apparently the structure has been <br />removed. Feature ~ is a depression with no associated artifacts. Fearure 3 has collapsed and is <br />falling down a road cut. Fen^.tre 4 is constrcuted of tieldstones and contains several f3gmea~; <br />roof timbers on the south wall. Feature 5 is a lumber and wood concencation which contains <br />fragments of milled lumber and tree trunks. Feature 6 is a sparse tin ;.an scatter located in an <br />oak brush thicke[. There is no evidence of subsurface culrural deposits. <br />RECObL~fE:~~D ~TIO\S <br />bfanagement recommendations aze made based on evaluation of a site's NRHP recommended <br />status and the potential of project impacts to that site. For sites that are recommended as Not <br />Eligible to [he NRHP, recommendations are for no further work. <br />Site SGN2461 is a turn-of-the cenrury homestead. The main structure has apparantly been <br />removed from the property and the site does not appear to contain any research potential. The <br />site is recommended as Not Eligible to the NRHP. <br />• <br />• 17 <br />
