Fine Aggregate, ASTM C 33, washed natural sand. <br />2.02 MIXES: <br />A. Mix Designs: <br />Concrete mix design shall be designed by an independent testing laboratory. <br />B. Cast-In-Place Concrete: <br />Cast-in-place concrete with reinforcing steel shall have a minimum 28-day compressive <br />strength of 4,000 psi. <br />2. Maximum Aggregate size of 1-inch. <br />3. Placement slump between 2-inches and 5-inches. <br />4. Air entrainment of 5% to 8%. <br />2.03 CURING COMPOUNDS: <br />Concrete curing compound shall be a clear compound complying with ASTM C 309, Type 1-D, Class A <br />and B, such as "RES-X" by Burke, or an equivalent approved by CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />i <br />3.01 STRUCTURAL CONCRETE: <br />PART 3: EXECUTTON <br />Place structural concrete as shown on DRAWINGS. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION: <br />A. Ready-Mix Concrete shall be batched, transported, and placed in accordance with ASTM C 94. <br />Each batch delivered to the Si[e shall be accompanied by a certiSed weightmaster's delivery <br />ticket. <br />B. All mixed concrete delivered to the Site shall be placed within ninety (90) minutes from the time <br />of introduction of cement and water into the mix. <br />C. No water shall be added after leaving the batch plant without the approval of CERTIFYING <br />ENGINEER. <br />D. Placement of concrete, once started, shall be performed as a continuous operation until the <br />scheduled placement is completed. <br />E. Cold joints shall be approved by CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />F.
