SECTION 03220.0 REINFORCING STEEL <br />PART 1: GENERAL <br />• 1.01 RELATED SECTIONS: <br />Refer to the following Sections for related work: <br />Section 03300.0 -Cast-in-Place Conaete <br />1.02 SUBMITTALS: <br />CONTRACTOR shall provide product data including Mill certification sheets and specifications <br />sufficient to allow evaluation by CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />1.03 TOLERANCES: <br />Reinforcing steel shall be placed as shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br />A. All work shall be constructed, monitored, and tested in accordance with the requvements <br />of the CQA Plan. <br />B. Any work found unsatisfactory or any work disturbed by subsequent operations before <br />acceptance is granted shall be corrected by CONTRACTOR, at no additional cost to CC& V. <br />PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />• 2.01 MATERIALS: <br />A. Reinforcing steel shall be Grade 60. Reinforcing bars shall be shop fabricated and tabbed with <br />suitable identifications to facilitate sorting and placement. <br />B. Tie wire shall be No. 16 AWG or heavier. <br />PART 3: EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION: <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the locations and placement of all reinforcing bazs. <br />B. All reinforcing steel shall be of the size and shape shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />C. The use of a torch or heat source for cutting or bending steel shall not be allowed. <br />D. Bars shall be free of scale, dirt, grease, or other foreign matter which aze detrimental to <br />bond. <br />E. Reinforcing bazs shall be accurately placed with respect to spacing and clearance, securely tied <br />at intersections, and supported in such a manner as to prevent displacement during placement of <br />concrete. <br />F.
