The revised maps show the details on riprap placement for culvert outlets.
2. The typo is acknowledged.
3. The bottom of these cliffs where flows are routed is solid rock and the impact zones will be
cleaned as appropriate.
4. We will elevaze the culveru one foot. Please be advised that trap efficiency deteriorates with
age.
5. Western Mobile would prefer to not install a cattle guard at the bottom of the quarry. The quarry
road is founded on solid rock and would make installation extremely expensive and difficult.
We were also inforned that truck drivers absolutely hate cattle guards evrn more than they
would an elevazed uphalt Swale. We believe the design can be effectively anglcd to route flows
w the edge of the road and out into Deer Creek. Western would like the opportunity to make
this option work Cust. Mangled "speed bump" is oot the most elegant solution but in this case
seems to be the most pnttical.
6. The detail for a splash pad is included. It will merely be a series of derrick stones lined et the
bottom of the road to still flows coming down from the brnch road. The lower access road is
hated in rock end does not need armoring.
The lest issue we wanted to raise was with regard to xhedule. The asphalt work is going to
require warm weather. Western Mobile will attempt to get the asphalt Swale installed ASAP.
However, if we have bad weather for many more days, it may be difficult to meet the April I S
deadline. The work on the sediment ponds is progressing and should be completed by that time.
We would ask the division to consider that the work is being completed end Western Mobile is
showing good faith in trying to meet the xhedule.
