Therefore, exposure of ground
water must not occur during or after mlmng operati ans.
^ The proposed operation will consume ground ~~atzr by: ^ evaporation, ^ dust control, ^
reclamation, ^ water rzmoved in the mined product, ^ processing, ^ other..
Prior to initiation of these uses of ground water, th~: applicant will need to obtain either a gravel pit
or other type of well pznnit, as applicablz. However, prior to obtaining a permit, an approved water
supply plan or decreed plan for augmentation is req~.iired.
^ Prior to approving a well permit, the applicant roust conduct a field inspection of [he site and
document the locations of all wills within 600 feet of the permit area. The applicant must then
obtain a waiver of objection from all well owners with wells within 600 feet of die pztmit aria or
request a heanng before the State Engineer.
^ Other:
COMMENTS: Since [he excavation will be on a ridgzlice, it does not appear that ground water will be
intercepted. However, in the event [hat ground water 13 zncounterzd, water is currently available for
appropriation in this aria, so an augmentation plan will not oe necessary.
