69ICV Powerline
TCC constructed a 69 KV powerline as shown on Map 24, Surface Facilities. The line provided power to the
• substation that powered the 8050 dragline. A trailing cable extended from the substation located near the Batch-
Weigh system to the dragline. Once the dragline, which is not the property of TCC, was moved from the site, the
trailing cable was removed. It is anticipated the substation will be removed unless needed for other applications at
the mine. When the powerline is no longer needed, it will be taken down and removed from the site.
Washplant II Powerline and Substation (TR07-59, Washolant 1T1
A new 69 KV distribution line was extended approximately 300 feet from the existing 69KV line to a new
substation location adjacent to the Overland Conveyer. Powerline construction involved the limited disturbance
required to place 4 powerpoles, with pole placement avoiding the Foidel Creek buffer zone. Installation of the new
dedicated Washplant Substation required construction of a 40 x 60 foot concrete pad, enclosed by an 8-foot high
chain-link fence and installation of steel supports, transformers, and associated control and electrical switch-gear.
The existing 24-inch culvert, in the substation location, was extended approximately 120 feet to convey drainage
under the substation area.

i
TR07-59 2.05-47.1 03/26/07
