• (1) The construction and operation of the proposed coal
transportation conveyor will result in perturbations to the
environment that must be considered as they relate to the
stability of the various terrestrial vertebrates living in
and/or utilizing the area of potential impact. General
perturbations of concern are:
(e) Surface disturbance.
(b) Loss of habitat.
(c) Noise.
• (d) Human activity.
(e) Air pollution
(2) Any one, all or a combination of the above perturbations
could seriously impact terrestrial vertebrates. Since both
proposed corridors are similar from a terrestrial vertebrate
standpoint, they will be treated in general.
Surface disturbance during construction will obviously occur,
but the narrowness of the corridor coupled with the mobility and
range of the terrestrial vertebrate species make this a minor
. consideration. No species will be seriously impacted.
II.H-144
