'7,.curdcd nC 10:UO A.N. 7, 1979 LurcCtn lSanncr Rccordci tccepflun IJu: ti•tJ'~1U <br />r, • • <br />• aBnK37~i rr,i,!~~1G <br />RESOLUTION OF TIIE BOARD OF COUNTY ~ <br />C014141SSIOt;ERS OF PITKIN COUIJTY, COLORADO ,' •• <br />• Sand and Gravel Permit <br />Elam Construction, Inc. <br />' Resolution No. 79- ~3~i <br />WHEREAS, ELAM COiJSTRUCTION, INC., a Colorado corporation herein sometimes <br />referred to as "Operator", and the Vagneur Ranch Company, a Colorado corporation <br />and Elam's lessor, have applied to the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin <br />County, Colorado, for a Sand and Gravel Permit pursuant to the requirements of <br />'the Piktin County Sand and Gravel Regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, Elam has operated a sand and gravel operation at the present Woody <br />Creek site for eight (8) years and has demonstrated its ability to comply with <br />Sand and Gravel Regulations and the terms of the current Gravel Permit Agreement <br />issued in 1974; and <br />WHEREAS, the Piktin County Planning and Zoning Commission has unanimously <br />approved this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners are aware of the substantial need <br />for gravel in the Roaring Fork Valley and of the desirability of locatinc, a <br />•~gravel and asphalt service as close as practical to the area of actual use; and <br />WHEREAS, the relatively isolated location of the gravel pit site is compatible <br />with adjacent and proposed land uses for the area; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin <br />County, Colorado, as follows: <br />1. A sand and gravel permit is hereby granted for a period of five years <br />commencing on October 9, 1979, and continuing until October 9, 1984. <br />Also, special review permission is granted fora like period to operate <br />a hot-mix asphalt plant and concrete batch plant. .Should the Pitkin <br />County Sand and Gravel Regulations be amended to allow a permit period <br />longer than five years, this permit shall be extended for such period <br />or ten (10) years (whichever period is shorter), that is, continuing <br />no later than October 9, 1989. <br />2. Representations as made by the applicants, in documents, maps, and <br />reports are hereby incorporated as conditions of this permit as on <br />
