i <br />4,02.3 Perimeter Markers. <br />44.02 SIGNS AND MARKERS <br />The perimeter of all areas affected by surface operations or facili- <br />ties, are clearly marked. <br />4.02.4 Duration of Maintenance. <br />All signs and markers are maintained during conduct of all activities <br />to which they pertain. <br />4.02.5 Stream Buffer Zone Markers. <br />No disturbance in stream buffer zones is anticipated and markers are <br />not required. <br />4.02.6 Blasting Signs. <br />(1)(2)6(3) <br />Typically, no surface blasting is required at the Orchard Val- <br />ley Mine. During construction of t!ie Orchard Valley West Mine <br />some surface blasting may he required. If blasting is needed, <br />this blasting will be performed under the supervision of a <br />certified blaster. <br />• Appropriate display signs entitled "Blasting Area" will be lo- <br />cated at the edge of the blasting area. These signs will be <br />placed so that any person travelling within [he permit area or <br />on a public road right-of-way within 100 feet of the blasting <br />area can clearly see blasting sign notice. <br />The charged holes marking the outside perimeter of the blast- <br />ing area will be flagged or marked so that the extent of the <br />charged area will be visible. <br />Warning signs entitled "Warning! Explosives in Use" will be <br />placed at all entrances to public roads or rights-of-way lead- <br />ing to the blasting area. A clear and descriptive plan will <br />be placed beside the warning sign explaining the blasting pro- <br />cedures, area of blasting and times of blasting. <br />4.02,7 Topsoil Markers. <br />Where topsoil piles exist within the Orchard Valley Mine Permit Area <br />they are clearly marked by metal signs. <br />.
